After spending 6 years doing research in theoretical linguistics, I decided to make a radical career move. I spent a year studying everything I need to know to start working as a data scientist, with a special focus on NLP. Now I am head of NLP at Faktion, a small company that managed to beat IBM Watson and Microsoft Luis when it comes to Dutch NLU.
